Hikonyan, the Japan's celebrity

Hikonyan, literally meaning Hikone Cat, saved a publishing company, Sunrise Publishing, in Shiga Prefecture. He was originally a mascot of the Hikone Castel 400 yrs Festival. Now he has become a national celebrity with a big sale of his books, postcards, and plushies. The company paid back its all $200 thousands debts, thanks to Hikonyan.

ひこにゃん（彦根のにゃんこ）は滋賀県のサンライズ出版社を救った。ひこにゃんはもともと「国宝・彦根城築城400年祭」のマスコットでした。今では本やポストカード、ぬいぐるみの爆発的売れゆきで国民的な人気者です。出版社はひこにゃんのおかげで2000万円すべての債務を返済できました。
