missed the last bus, and then how I got home

As I missed the last bus from Twinbrook to Glenmont, I needed to call Taxi. Even though I caught the last train for shady Grove, there was no taxi outside Metro station. Back home, this is the time for taxi to earn money. I should know surburb in US more. By the way, as I needed to wait Taxi nearly one hour and half, I was officially freezed. I wear Indian shirt and put on flip-flop. It means I wear underclothedly very much like summer season. However, luckily I had Saloon, and wore it like a shelter or a tent. I sat on the bench in gas station. By the way, the guy in exxon was kind enough to call a Taxi, though he didn't give me bed and food. Oh, I am asking too much now. In addition, I saw a rabbit in Gas station. It's pretty funny.
Cecilia gave me a cheerful pig dancing when I told about that. she is always funny.

On Dr. Ladner, AU President

I got email from SISGSC

Official Statement of the SIS Graduate Student Council on Dr. Ladner

Until now, the SIS Graduate Student Council has refrained from taking an official position regarding the situation with Benjamin Ladner. During times of anger and frustration, patience is prudent to ensure that emotion does not cloud sound judgment. We know that the students we represent would expect nothing less from their elected leaders. However, after hearing from a great many of our constituents and after careful consideration, we have decided to state our position.

Dr. Ladner has lost both the confidence of his students and his ability to lead. Through his actions he has blemished the reputation of American University and damaged his capacity for fundraising. Finally, his poor judgment shows an absolute lack of respect for those students who have struggled and sacrificed to attend this institution. It is thus the sound judgment and position of the SIS Graduate Student Council that the continued presence of Dr. Ladner is a distraction to the educational objectives of this institution, and that he should no longer serve as president of American University.

Finally, as it is the duty of any community of scholars to apply logical reasoning to factual evidence, we call on the Board of Trustees to make available to the American University community all documentation regarding the investigation of Dr. Ladner.

This statement will be transmitted to the Board of Trustees, the Acting President, the Dean of SIS, and all other relevant parties.

Make our opinion heard on President Ladner

I got e-mail from AU community.
This is time to protest in campus!
=================================================
In response to John Doe's email, here's information tomorrow's protest:
First off, it's not an SIS protest.. it's an AU community protest. Everyone is welcome to join and have their voices heard. Some people have mentioned that the report hasn't come out yet.. let it be known that we're not debating the legality of the situation, we're debating the morality and ethics involved in acting the way that Mr. Ladner did, with such blatant disregard to the consiquences his actions might have on the rest of the AU community. So far the people involved are student-run organizations who, as far as I know, have opted to remain anonymous, but be assured that there are many, and they come from all different political/religious views. In addition, the idea began as small groups of students, not affiliated with any organization, who wanted to make sure that the voice of the student body was heard.. as a result, the small groups have joined forces and are working hard on organizing tomorrow's rally. Many professors have announced their attendance, and some have even asked to speak. So the people attending will be current students, alumni, professors, faculty members, community members, etc.. The goal of tomorrow's event is to simply make the voice of those who are being affected by this whole situation heard. So far we've heard from Ladner, reporters, and other officials, yet no one has asked us our opinion. There will be a meeting of the board of trustees at the same time as our meeting inside MGC, and we'd like them to know that we won't be left out of the discussions regarding President Ladner's future. Media has definitely been contacted: reporters from the American Eagle, the American Weekly, BenLadner.com, and the Washington Post will be present. Those are just the ones that I know about, however there have been other individuals contacting other media groups. The details are as follows:
When: Wed. the 28th of September @ 5:oopm
Where: Main Quad, outside of MGC
Why: Make our opinion heard on President Ladner/ demand his resignation
This issue affects all members of the AU community, and therefore it is important that we all stand together in making our voices heard.
Please spread the word... let's have a great turnout tomorrow!!

Former President Jimmy Carter came to AU

Jimmy Carter came to AU yesturday. The conversation begun at 4pm, but there was huge line at 3:15. Luckily, I met my friends and could kill time. We took pictures each other.
Mr. Carter ws energetic, smart, and funny. He was shamed of Georgia's new regulation for election. People need to pay money to vote. ID costs $25 or whatever. He said, "No more preemptive war." Spelling is right? he was also brave enough to talk about kidnapping in Iran.

Governmentium

I got email from K. It's funny!
A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest chemical element yet known to science. The new element has been tentatively named Governmentium. Governmentium has 1 neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of governmentium causes one reaction to take over 4 days to complete when it would normally take less than a second. Governmentium has a normal half-life of 3 years; it does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause some morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to speculate that governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as Critical Morass.
