Int'l Econ Trade Policy Paper

I finally finish paper. Topic is NAFTA and Mexico's pork industry.
First part describes NAFTA. Second part explain trade theory. And last part examine theoritical reasoning. As I focus on Tariff, NAFTA is beneficial for Mexico's pork Industory. In fact, the amount of pork import from US increased drastically in 2004. This is because Mexico became a processing factory in North America. I needed to examine Mexico's import and export. But I couldn't find out such a data, and I discussed Mexico's pork industory only based on US import/ export data. Plus, I didn't discuss subsidies, corruption of burocratic in Mexico, and marginalization of Mexico's rural area. Some say cheap products supported US subsidies devastates Mexico's small farm. US increased subsidies lately. Mexico's administration is now under the pressure of anti-NAFTA movement, and increases subsidies in order to mitigate political complains. However, some subsidies will be stolen by corrupted burocrats. Liberization distorts inequality in Mexico.

I turned in Home work in Statistic class.
It looked like easy, but actually it is dificult to find an adequate variables, especially lower the significance of Null hypothesis. It nearly took 12 hours.

Financial Crisis
I should have prepare for Indonesia Case more.
In general, the class supports loan + conditionality. The bank system needed supervision and transparency. I forgot to talk with Prof. on research prospect.

Statistic
Problem Set 2: I needed longer time than I expected. Plus, I realized taht I had to pick at least four valuables today. It is more dificult to set a hypothesis with four independent valuables than that with fewer. Make sense?

I got Evite from D & E. The party is Saturday night.

couldn't sleep last night

Today is due of Trade Policy Paper, so I couldn't sleep last night. I dont have time to write Intro and conclusion. Plus, analysis isn't actually anlyzed. Topics is NAFTA and Mexico's pork Industory. I wanna discuss whether abolishment of tariff is beneficial or not. The key is Mexico's pork industory is large, it means it could influence international price, or not. I realized this morning that I need world pork commodity data. But I just have US' data from USDA.
Luckly, rofessor gave me a two day extension. Maybe, J also got that. By the way, librarian in AU library are very much nice and helpful. I finally got data from DB this evening. Hope I get through.

NAFTA's impact on Mexico

Now i'm writing about trade policy paper for Int'l Economics.
Due is this Wednesday. I can't believe I have just one day to go.
Topic of this paper is about NAFTA's impact on Mexico in agriculture field.

Anyway, today (yesterday) is Valentine day. Happy Valentine!
Did my friends enjoy outing today? I gave up to go out, as I have class tonight.
